Grant Bates is a leader among the next generation of property agents. Within a decade at Hamptons, Bates has climbed the ranks to become head of the private office. More recently, he led the team that facilitated a £60 million sale in Holland Park, reportedly involving a member of the Abu Dhabi royal family. 

Despite his prominence on social media, he works primarily in off-market transactions, securing property for UHNW clients who are concerned with safety and discretion and need an adviser that they can trust. 

The key factor in finding the right property for each client? ‘Be in the right places,’ says Bates, who also highlights the importance of having a strong network of industry connections. This profession isn’t easy, he adds, but his drive and work ethic have helped him thrive. Put simply: ‘You need to have the appetite for success.’
