Goedhuis & Co, now trading as Goedhuis Waddesdon, has been notably active in the Burgundy region since the firm was founded in 1981. ‘Over the years we’ve built up a relationship with many top growers,’ chairman Johnny Goedhuis said. ‘Relationships in Burgundy are very important. There’s still a loyalty in the region, which is remarkable, and which makes dealing with Burgundy such a pleasure.’

In 2023, Goedhuis & Co and Waddesdon announced a merger, now complete, to expand the representation of esteemed wineries in the merchant’s cellar and accelerate its expansion. Waddesdon, a subsidiary of the Rothschild Foundation, represents wines from Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite and Edmond de Rothschild Heritage, among others, exclusively within the UK.
