Nathalie Hirst founded her buying agency in 2010 after eight years as the head of London buying at Savills’ property buying arm, Prime Purchase.
The key to her success? ‘Buying agents come and go; I have a very good reputation which I’m extremely proud of, and people trust me from very early on in the search process,’ she tells Spear’s.
Hirst’s role extends beyond simply finding properties at an excellent price, although she is well experienced in negotiating. Indeed, she once managed to acquire a property for more than £10 million below its asking price.
‘I always say that even a blind pig could find a truffle,’ she says. ‘What I do is very much about giving serious advice on a serious subject. It’s usually the most amount of money clients spend out of their own wealth.’
