In 2024, Philip Hall launched Thorndon Partners, a boutique firm that provides specialist strategic communications advice. Having made a name for himself at firms including Portland, he brings almost 20 years of experience to support clients with reputation management, crisis response and litigation communications.

Together with his team – which includes Graziella Chelo, also from Portland – Hall advises international organisations and charities, U/HNW individuals, corporations and even some royalty on any and all aspects of reputation protection.

Hall tells Spear’s that his legal background (he has a master’s degree in international public law) has been a point of reassurance for clients. ‘Every circumstance is critical and important and unique, but every circumstance also has some level of precedent, and so it can be shaped into an addressable problem,’ he says.
