At Stoneacre Advisors, Matthew Sudlow works alongside Jess Simpson, creating a ‘formidable alliance’ in the world of country property, according to a peer. Stoneacre was founded in early 2025 and offers sales and acquisitions advice as well as strategic expansions for farms or landed estates.

Before joining Stoneacre, Sudlow worked at Strutt & Parker, where he was head of the estates and farm department, overseeing transactions across England and Wales. In the past 12 months at his current firm, he has overseen deals worth over £10 million each in the Cotswolds, Dorset, Sussex and Wiltshire.

Sudlow notes that most of his clients tend to come from two camps: ‘old-school, blue-chip family offices looking to expand their current property portfolios in the country, and a handful of self-made clients who have been incredibly successful in their sector’.

However, he adds that they all have one thing in common. ‘They’re all looking for best-in-class, often trophy estates.’
