As deputy head of private wealth at Ruffer, Lauren French’s responsibilities are two-fold: she assumes a client-facing role advising HNWs in the UK and Channel Islands, and is responsible for shaping the firm’s offerings in new and existing markets. 

She joined the firm in 2010 as an investment associate following her graduation from the University of Oxford. 

French says that she is ‘passionate about developing and nurturing relationships with her clients’ and ‘helping them discover how Ruffer’s strategy can enhance their financial resilience’. But she is equally well aware of the risk of investment traps and has written on the dangers of ‘falling prey to a market bubble’.
