Fred Hervey

Spear’s Review

Fred Hervey is a partner and chief investment officer at Lincoln Private Investment Office, which he helped to establish alongside Ross Elder in 2014.

Summing up Lincoln’s offering, Hervey says the firm delivers ‘unconflicted wealth management advice that we would like to receive ourselves’. This ethos resonates with the firm’s HNW client base of entrepreneurs and finance professionals, and Hervey controls an exclusive client book as a result.

However, it is not just Hervey who enjoys close relationships with his clients. He tells Spear’s: ‘Each adviser is able to deliver that level of service, to ensure that we are understanding what it is they need and what is the best [strategy] to be taking out to them.’

Hervey’s two decades in the wealth management sector began at stockbroker James Capel and then Barclays. He subsequently co-founded and ran Berenberg’s UK private banking operations.
