Richard Saunders joined Butterfield Bank in Guernsey in 2000; nearly 25 years later he serves as a managing director for its UK and Channel Islands operations. 

Saunders also leads the bank’s wealth management offering and European asset management business, managing teams in Guernsey and London and overseeing discretionary management for private client portfolios.

Saunders joined Butterfield from RBC, where he spent seven years managing private client portfolios. He is a chartered member of the CISI.
