Rabih Hage

Spear’s Review

Interior designer and chartered architect Rabih Hage has developed a concept he calls ‘quiet architecture’, which is ‘not about wiping the past and starting again to define the strong-willingness of personality’, he tells Spear’s. ‘It’s about working with the past and looking after it for the next generations.’

While his clients may like to keep a low profile, Hage’s designs certainly do not: his work on London’s Rough Luxe hotel in 2008 arguably triggered a new global design movement, and his sleek, ultra-modern designs grace townhouses, hotels, office spaces and villas in London, New York and Europe.

‘I always tell people we don’t design the house; we don’t design the kitchen. We design spaces for living and for the functionality of spaces,’ says the former winner of the Andrew Martin Interior Designer of the Year Award.
