Edward Venmore, a partner at Foot Anstey and head of farms, estates and rural land, joined the firm as an associate in 2012. Quickly climbing up the ranks, he assumed the position of legal director in 2015 before making partner in 2021. 

His areas of expertise include commercial litigation, property disputes and professional negligence claims. According to the firm, Venmore is armed with a wide breadth of expertise that allows him to ‘carefully listen to the client’s aims and concerns at the outset’ and then ‘develop a clear strategy to resolve the dispute they are dealing with’.

Examples of recent cases include acting for landowners affected by a ‘site of special scientific interest’ ruling, advising landlords and tenants on their agricultural tenancies, and resolving a family dispute involving a claim being made on his clients’ farm.
