According to Birketts, partner Tom Quinn is always focused on trying to ‘conclude matters promptly and with the minimum of cost and acrimony’. Quinn, who joined the firm in early 2022 to set up and lead its London family department, advises on issues relating to the dissolution of a marriage or civil partnership, including financial and children matters.

‘We’ve grown really quickly,' he tells Spear’s of his team. ‘We bring that top-level service but at a much more competitive rate.’

His experience in managing cases involving HNW and UHNW clients began in 2011 at Payne Hicks Beach, where he served as an associate solicitor and worked in close contact with esteemed family lawyer Fiona Shackleton. Quinn then joined Vardags in 2019 as a director, where he settled complex financial disputes, resolved issues relating to jurisdiction and drafted pre- and postnuptial agreements.
