Maung Aye

Maung Aye joined London-based firm Mackrell in 2011 and became joint managing partner in 2023. Aye specialises in all aspects of corporate law, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions and complex group reorganisations. His work often involves an international dimension.
‘All businesses, whether big or small, now can have (and indeed want) access to international markets instantly,’ says Aye. Clients come from a diverse range of sectors, including fashion, technology, retail and travel.
For Aye, the reward for his hard work is ‘seeing entrepreneurs come to me with an idea that develops into a successful business venture and knowing that I have played a part in assisting them on their journey’.
