Sarah Fairweather moved to superyacht specialists Jaffa & Co from Shoosmiths in 2023, bringing her expertise as a finance and transactional lawyer in the aviation and marine industries.

Promoted to partner in 2024, Fairweather has more than 20 years of experience overseeing the purchase and sale of helicopters, commercial jets and superyachts; she also is involved in complex asset financing and commercial cases.

Fairweather reports that her HNW and UHNW clients frequently return to her for business, which she says is a ‘huge compliment’. 

‘It's not just about having legal representation,’ Fairweather adds. ‘It’s about making sure that [clients] have people to advise on the technical side of the acquisition, to help with the operation and to make sure that [they’re] buying the right asset for the intended use.’
