Lucile Andreani
Spear’s Review
Lucile Andreani, head of handbags and accessories, EMEA, at Christie’s, has nearly a decade of experience at the auction house, alongside master’s degrees in art history and the art market from Paris’s prestigious Sorbonne.
With a specialism in collectible Hermès pieces, Andreani possesses an intimate knowledge of an increasingly sought-after range of handbags for private collectors and investors. When she’s not sourcing and curating for auctions, Andreani, who is based in Paris, offers her skills in advising and negotiating private sales for Birkins and Kellys, or rare display-only vintages.
Andreani has been indispensable in leading auctions. In 2022 and 2023 the ‘Inside the Orange Box’ three-part auction of an Hermès handbag collection fetched €5.9 million, and in 2024, ‘Unlocking the Orange Dream’, featuring 200 handbags from a variety of designers, achieved €2.3 million in sales.
