Neil Purslow, co-founder of and chief investment officer at Therium, puts his 25-plus years of experience towards making the firm a leading provider of litigation finance and arbitration funding.

Purslow, who has a master’s in jurisprudence from Oxford University, began his legal career as a dispute resolution solicitor at Withers. He then moved on to roles at Marsh & MacLennan Companies (where he provided litigation counsel in-house) and US firm Reed Smith before co-founding Therium with John Byrne in 2009. Since its inception, Therium has become one of the leading litigation funding firms in the UK, funding claims with a total value of $100 billion.

Purslow is a board member of the Association of Litigation Funders, the self-regulatory body for the litigation funding industry in England and Wales, of which Therium is a founding member.
