‘Family law is a bit like Marmite – you either love it or you hate it, and I got the bug immediately,’ says Caitlin Jenkins, a partner who leads Mills & Reeve’s family team in Cambridge.

Most of her cases involve substantial assets, including multi‑million‑pound family businesses and trust structures. Her clients range from tech entrepreneurs and senior business figures, including those at PLCs, to farmers and families with landed estates.

Jenkins handles cases that span the globe, and is equipped to litigate or act as a mediator, collaborative lawyer or financial arbitrator – depending on her clients’ needs.

She is one of a small handful of regional members of the International Academy of Family Lawyers. ‘Cambridge is a very international city,’ she tells Spear’s. ‘[IAFL membership] is a real differentiator and demonstrates to clients how much international work I do.’
