Appointed as head of Burges Salmon’s growing private wealth team in 2023, Suzanna Harvey works with a globally dispersed group of private clients including UK non-residents and non-UK domiciles on issues around their tax compliance, including estate and immigration planning.

Harvey is particularly adept at offering pre-entry tax planning advice to entrepreneurs and families regarding how much income and capital gains tax to pay.

‘All the clients I work with have some kind of international element,’ she says. And while she is not an immigration lawyer, she can offer advice with residency and relocation in mind. ‘You often see an immigration lawyer and a private client lawyer separately, but when someone is thinking of moving to the UK, we can think about tax as part of it.’
