Michael Betley of Ocorian is based in Guernsey, but the firm advises clients all over the world. This includes the Caribbean, Hong Kong, Singapore – a colleague says Ocorian is ‘huge in the Crown Dependencies’ – as well as Dubai, the US and several European countries.

While the company is international and provides administration and compliance services for individuals, family offices and trusts, much of Betley’s work in wealth preservation, succession planning and tax structuring lies closer to home. 

Since stepping back from his role as Ocorian’s global head of private clients, he spends more time with his UHNW client base, as well as sitting on the boards of client companies. He was previously a partner at Wedlake Bell.
