Mark Stokes leads the family office services group at accountancy giant Deloitte, specialising in advising families and family offices on their complex financial affairs and wealth holding structures from a tax point of view.

He told Spear’s: ‘My day job is private client tax, which is advising individuals and trusts and their holding structures on a wide range of tax issues. And then there’s the firm we bring in.

‘Mine is a cross-firm role, about bringing together all the different things that are relevant for family offices within the behemoth that is Deloitte and making sure we’ve got family office focused teams that sit within those different propositions. Having the right conversations with clients and trying to predict where the industry - for want of a better term - is going.’
