Tom Christopherson is a major figure in the art and legal worlds, advising collectors, dealers and institutions on contentious and non-contentious aspects of the art market.

As well as acting as a senior adviser at Canvas Art Law, for which he earns his Spear’s recommendation for his work with private clients, Christopherson is also a legal consultant at Bonhams and a consultant lecturer at Sotheby’s Institute of Art.

As a recognised expert in his field, Christopherson is a member of the anti-money laundering subcommittee of the British Art Market Federation, and helped to produce the anti-money laundering in art guidelines that have now been adopted as official by the British Treasury.
