Fionnuala Rogers has spent more than a decade in art law, with a particular focus on cultural property matters, cross-border antiquities transactions and Middle Eastern art and heritage. She trained and qualified at Pinsent Masons, where she spent almost a decade, before serving as a consultant within Constantine Cannon’s art and property law arm. 

She founded Canvas Art Law in 2017, advising a range of clients including emerging artists, dealers and international museums. 

In 2015, Rogers joined Blue Shield, an organisation specialising in protecting art in conflict zones; in 2020, she was elected chair of the organisation. She is consulted on policy and legislative matters by governments, especially when issues such as trafficking, heritage preservation and sustainability arise.
