His work centres around high-value will, trust and estate disputes, which regularly require him to act for HNWs, trustees, executors, high-profile figures and charities. In the case of the latter, he is often asked to advise on issues relating to contentious trust and probate.

Roman Kubiak is a partner and head of the private wealth disputes team at Hugh James.

He leads one of the largest specialist teams in the UK dedicated to contentious trusts, estates and private wealth issues. Kubiak advises across the whole spectrum of private client litigation, with a particular focus on high-value, complex and cross-border disputes.

Clients include high-profile and celebrity individuals and trusts. He has taken a leading role in developing Hugh James’s roster of charity clients.

He advises on a wide variety of disputes with a particular focus on high-value, complex and cross-border disputes including trust disputes, breach of trust claims, will disputes, claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 and claims for equitable relief under proprietary estoppel, constructive trusts and resulting trusts.
