Victoria Jones joined Hugh James as partner in 2022 after spending two decades at Bournemouth-based legal firm Lester Aldridge. 

An expert lawyer in matters relating to contested wills, trusts and estates, Jones has established a client pool comprising HNWs, wealthy families and charities. She is frequently called upon for her work in financial fraud and will disputes. Her experience in contested will cases has been documented in the media and she has written articles on the importance of drafting air-tight directives. 

Jones also specialises in cases concerning the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Court of Protection disputes.

Victoria is a Partner in the Contested Wills, Trusts and Estates Team. She has specialised in contested wills and estates and charity legacy cases for more than 20 years, and in Mental Capacity Act 2005/Court of Protections cases since 2006. 

Victoria advises charities, UK banks, high-net-worth families/individuals, executors, trustees, charity trustees and care homes in will, estate, probate, burial, charitable legacy and trust disputes, as well as Court of Protection disputes and cases involving elder financial abuse. 

She also advises expat families in connection with estate and trust disputes in the UK and is a member of the Charity Law Association and the Association of Contentious Trust & Probate Specialists.
