Tara Smyth

Tara Smyth is a J.P. Morgan veteran, having been at the firm for more than 20 years, starting in the graduate programme and working in the private bank’s New York office before being tapped for a move to Geneva.

Initially an investment adviser, she advanced to head of Middle East and Turkey, where her clients were primarily ultra-high-net-worth residents of Middle Eastern states with considerable wealth – at least $25 million – held offshore. She was successful in helping to grow the bank’s presence in the market, and leading its digital transformation. 

Since late 2023 Smyth has served as managing director and head of international strategic objectives.

A member of the J.P. Morgan Board for Saudi Arabia, the J.P. Morgan International Private Bank Operating Committee and the J.P. Morgan Suisse Management Committee, Smyth co-founded the EMEA Women’s Network for the private bank in 2011.
