Spear’s Review

Located in the picturesque Swiss mountains, the Institut Montana Zugerberg is committed to creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all students to thrive. This is reflected in all aspects of the school’s organisation, from its small groups of 10 students per classroom to its varied co-curricular programme that offers pupils a chance to find their own path and explore it fully. With only 360 students, the Swiss school has the possibility to dedicate an impressive amount of resources to every child, and instil a strong sense of community and belonging.

Institut Montana is home to students from 55 different nationalities, who can choose to follow the bilingual Swiss curriculum or international programmes that lead to IGCSEs, the IB and a high-school diploma.

Admissions

According to the school, the admissions process is holistic, and every applicant is reviewed beyond their academic achievements. Interested applicants are encouraged to visit the campus for a trial day or arrange a virtual meeting. As part of the process, the school uses cognitive ability tests and language exams to help determine a student’s academic pathway, and in some cases requires students attend an interview.
