Spear’s Review
Wycombe Abbey established its first international school in Changzhou in 2016. Taking the best from the UK and the Chinese curriculums, the school offers pupils access to top universities around the world.
The timetable reflects a British education, with a focus on learning beyond the classroom via sports, expeditions and the arts, while maintaining academic excellence as its top priority.
The newly renovated campus offers students a huge array of facilities, from a fully equipped theatre to a 400m outdoor running track and a purpose-built water sports centre.

97 per cent of GCSE results are grades 7–9.
95 per cent of A-Level results are A*–B.
University and college destinations
Students matriculate at top universities around the world, including Oxbridge and Russell Group universities. According to the school, the 66 graduates of the class of 2024 received 254 total university offers.
Head teacher
David Aitchison is the executive head of school at Wycombe Abbey School Changzhou. He has two decades of teaching and educational leadership experience, including at schools in the UK, South Korea and Thailand.
