Spear’s Review

The International School of Paris makes the most of its city-centre location, with its three campuses providing seamless access to Paris for field trips, sports excursions and other experiential learning opportunities. To them, ‘Paris is the classroom’.

Built upon learning for complexity, embracing diversity and language learning, the school has a strong focus on equipping young people to become global citizens. Around half of all students who attend graduate with a bilingual diploma. The school offers the IB curriculum at three levels – primary years, middle years and diploma programme – preparing students ‘to engage with and succeed in a complex world’.

Students – there are typically 65 nationalities represented each year – are urged to discover their passions through co-curricular activities such as sports, arts, environmental clubs and more.

Academics

Average IB score is 33.3.

University and college destinations

According to the school, 95 per cent of 2024 graduates moved on to higher education, with the majority of those attending university in the UK – including the University of Oxford – or France.

Antoine Delaitre was appointed head of school in 2024. With nearly 30 years of experience in international education, Delaitre has held leadership roles at top IB schools in the United States and was recognised by the French Ministry of Education in 2015 when he was awarded the Chevalier de l'Ordre des Palmes Académiques.
