Spear’s Review

The founder of Aiglon, John Corlette, taught at Gordonstoun, where he was inspired by the experiential education philosophy of Kurt Hahn. So it’s no surprise that the popular international school follows a British model.

Since 1949, the school has championed the development of young people through mind, body and spirit – it was at the forefront of introducing meditation into students’ daily routines. In 2022, Aiglon launched its first scholarship, the Alumni Eagle Scholarship, which utilises funds to support one pupil each year through their journey at the school.

The alpine setting and international vision make for an inspiring and dynamic mix, and students leave ‘confident, gregarious, dynamic, entrepreneurial and empathetic’, according to director Nicola Sparrow.
