Baird & Co occupies a unique position in the UK bullion market: it is both a refiner and a dealer. Its refinery in east London produces many of the gold bars it sells, giving investors the unusual ability to buy metal whose journey can be traced from refining to finished bar within a single business.

Alongside gold, Baird trades silver, platinum, palladium and rhodium in bars and coins, and provides storage for clients at a 30,000 sq ft facility in East London.

Founded by Tony Baird in 1967, the firm began as a coin dealer before moving into bullion and refining. Still family-owned, it has traded from Hatton Garden since 1987 and remains one of London’s longest-established independent bullion houses. Baird & Co has been a member of the London Bullion Market Association since 2000 and also operates a branch in Singapore.
