Johnny Depp, David Bowie, Mick Jagger and the Prince and Princess of Wales have all visited its shores, and Princess Margaret made it famous with her frequent visits, calling it ‘the only place I can relax’. 

Located in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the Caribbean, Mustique comprises just over two square miles of white sands, glittering sea and lush tropical hills. Island life – and its private-hire villas (including Princess Margaret’s Les Jolies Eaux, which is available to rent from $35,000 per week) – are managed by the Mustique Company.

Indeed, due to the high profile of many of the island’s guests, the Mustique Company maintains a tight grip on its rental villas, with all enquiries sent through the company rather than via a third party. It even arranges its own chartered flights from nearby airports in order to control visitation – and to maintain its mysteriousness and exclusivity, no doubt.
