For a spa break outside the city, The Spa at South Lodge in West Sussex is less than an hour on the train from London Victoria. 

A key advantage of a country spa over a city spa is space, and South Lodge offers spectacular countryside views from the indoor infinity pool. There are also al-fresco swimming options: an outdoor hydrotherapy pool, the UK's first natural heated swimming pond and a cold-water lake.

To dry off, there’s a marble-lined steam room and a sauna with a floor-to-ceiling window, offering views of the grounds as you unwind. For ultimate luxury, guests can opt for an overnight stay in the spa lodges, with a private infrared sauna and an outdoor bath tub on offer for a peaceful soak overlooking the lake.

The spa menu is also extensive, with cancer care, pre-natal and menopause treatment options.
