&Beyond was established in 1991 and considers itself unique among travel companies thanks to its strong stance on ethical ecotourism.

Described as ‘carbon-light’, ‘conservation-led’, ‘culinary-inspired’ and ‘community-centred’, the firm aspires to create a niche in the responsible luxury travel industry. 

CEO and founder Joss Kent, who was born and raised in Kenya, has told the press that the company's goal is ‘to leave our world better than we found it’. 

&Beyond owns and manages 29 sustainable lodges and camps in Africa, Asia and South America, and collaborates with third-party partners to organise adventures to Antarctica. Destinations and excursions include Easter Island, the Galapagos Islands, safaris across Africa, treks in the foothills of Everest and swimming in the Maldives.
