andBeyond was established in 1991 and considers itself unique among travel companies thanks to its strong stance on responsible tourism.

With ‘carbon-light’, ‘conservation-led’, ‘culinary-inspired’ and ‘community-centred’ itineraries, the firm aspires to create a niche in the luxury travel industry. 

CEO and founder Joss Kent, who was born and raised in Kenya, has told the press that the company’s goal is ‘to leave our world better than we found it’. 

andBeyond owns and manages multiple lodges, camps and yachts in Africa, Asia and South America, and collaborates with third-party partners to organise adventures to Antarctica. Destinations and excursions include Easter Island, the Galapagos Islands, safaris across Africa, treks in the foothills of Everest and swimming in the Maldives. The company is also due to launch a 15-cabin Amazon Explorer yacht in late 2026.
