The Peak Fitness Club and Spa within the Jumeirah Carlton Tower hotel is an oasis of serenity in the heart of Belgravia.

The pool here, which is long enough for lap swimming and wide enough for families to enjoy, is under a curved glass roof that creates a bright and airy feel during the day. This offers a stark contrast to the subterranean pool areas in many of London’s luxurious hotels and residential developments.

There are spacious treatment rooms, stocked with products from 111SKIN and Aromatherapy Associates. The expert massages are conducted on tables that are wide enough to accommodate even the broadest set of shoulders – something that this Spear’s reviewer knows is not always the case.
