7IM, founded in 2002, manages more than £20 billion for clients who include individuals and families, financial advisers, corporates, charities and trustees. 

In addition to its investment services, which include discretionary investment management, a selection of multi-asset portfolios, an investment and open architecture trading platform and a range of retirement products, 7IM offers wealth management services, such as succession planning, estate and tax planning, asset protection and philanthropy advisory. 

The firm, which has offices in London and Edinburgh, was bought by Canadian pensions giant Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan – which has net assets of around $249.8 billion – in early 2024. It has since continued to grow its footprint via organic expansion and M&A.
