When it comes to luxury, few people would understand the concept better than a billionaire. So who better than a billionaire to offer luxury retreats? Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Limited Edition (VLE) offers a range of retreats across the world: Kasbah Tamadot in Morocco, Mahali Mzuri and Finch Hattons in Kenya, Mont Rochelle and Ulusaba in South Africa, Son Bunyola in Mallorca, the Lodge in Switzerland and the Branson Beach Estate in the British Virgin Islands. 

However, the jewel in the VLE crown is undoubtedly Necker Island, Branson’s own private island and residence, which is now open to bookings from the public. Visitors can secure one of Necker’s villas for as little as $5,650 a night during certain periods of the year, or reserve exclusive use of the island, accommodating up to 48 guests in 12 rooms and 12 Balinese-style villas, for a quoted rate of $140,000 per night.
