The Apsley, located on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, is a 19-storey luxury assisted living and memory care community operated by Sunrise Senior Living.

The assisted living apartments cater for people who general manager Tom Cana says are ‘alert and oriented, independent residents’. The memory care facility, located in the same building, is described as ‘a secured neighbourhood for those with later stages of Alzheimer’s and dementia. They still get to enjoy the wonderful menu and programme, with a little more supervision.’

Situated on Broadway between 84th and 85th Streets, the Apsley is beautifully designed and within easy reach of the theatres, churches and restaurants that people who have spent their lives in this area of Manhattan are familiar with. At the same time, it provides a level of support not as easily available to tenants of standard apartment buildings.
