Silverlining Furniture founder Mark Boddington has been designing for more than 35 years.

His mother encouraged him to carve a career as a craftsman, and he followed a path away from the family business, Boddingtons Brewery, which was founded by his great-great-grandfather. He started his career in a Cheshire workshop on the late Duke of Westminster’s estate, and his work has evolved into a sprawling business servicing HNWs and A-lister clients including Madonna, Tom Ford and the late David Bowie.

His firm employs a ‘progressive design ethos’ and ‘time-honoured craftsman techniques’ – yet he relishes the creative challenges that spring up when accommodating customers’ individual quirks and desires.

Boddington’s artful pieces each come with ‘silver hallmarks’, which reveal the year a piece was created, and a seal of approval from his team of workmen and designers in the firm’s factory in Wrexham, North Wales.
