Ian Walker has built his practice – renamed in 2023 to Walker Family Law from Ian Walker Family Law and Mediation Solicitors – into a thriving Exeter-based boutique.

Walker is one of the south west’s leading family law practitioners: he is a former chair of the Devon branch of Resolution – a role he held for 12 years; a former trustee of the Family Mediators Association; and he and his firm have a string of Law Society and other awards to their names. In May 2024 Walker was elected to Resolution’s National Committee for a three-year term.

He has earned his reputation working on complicated cases, often involving mental health, alcohol problems and sexual and gender identity issues, with sensitivity and focus. The firm has a divorce coach attached to assist clients with their journey through divorce away from the legal proceedings.

HNW clients include international families with complex financial affairs and celebrities.
