Spear’s Review
With a wealth of experience delivering sales and marketing strategies for noteworthy prime London residential developments, Meriam Makiya has brought her expertise to one of the city’s most famous spots: Battersea Power Station.
The property maven began her career in 2002, working in lettings at Foxtons before moving on to mortgage advice at Alexander Hall and sales at Savills’ Grosvenor Hill offices. She then joined Knight Frank, where she spent more than 10 years, rising to become a partner and divisional head of super prime residential development. Following this she was chief commercial officer at the Goldman Sachs-backed retirement operator Riverstone.
At Battersea Power Station Development Company, Makiya is the head of residential for prime developments, with properties ranging from just under £1 million to over £7 million.
The development consists of multiple buildings – each just close enough along a newly created high street to form what Makiya refers to as the ‘15-minute neighbourhood’.
