Tim Sharp joined Hottinger Group as a founding member in 2002 and became the firm’s managing director in the summer of 2016. He enthusiastically describes the firm as a totally bespoke investment manager that works with a family to ensure that the strategy employed suits their individual needs, requirements and risk profile. Previously, Sharp was the firm’s director of operations, where he oversaw the development of infrastructure.

Sharp is adept at dealing with a diverse array of HNW interests, although there are a few unifying themes. ‘Clients are driven by wealth preservation and mitigating risk. They are also interested in philanthropy and the prospect of investing in private investments that adhere to their long-term beliefs and interests,’ he says.
