Tim Heywood is an award-winning yacht designer producing some of the finest and largest yachts on the water today.

The stunning 133-metre Al Mirqab was named Motor Yacht of the Year at the World Superyacht Awards in 2009, while his 115- metre Pelorus has been acclaimed as one of the most beautiful yachts ever to set sail.

Based in Rutland, Heywood cut his teeth working with Jon Bannenberg for 20 years before setting up his own practice with wife Vanessa in 1996. He’s inspired by nature, architecture, engineering, transport and various historical periods, from ancient Egypt to the present day. He works with yards across Europe, Australia and the US.
