Thomas Croft

Spear’s Review

Described as ‘the art collector’s architect’, Thomas Croft believes living spaces can be just as much of a masterpiece as the paintings we display in them.

Croft worked for Richard Meier in New York and Rick Mather in London before setting up Thomas Croft Architects in 1995. The practice describes itself as ‘design-led’ and specialises in large residential and commercial projects for art dealers and collectors, businesses, U/HNW families and celebrities. The firm’s work often involves the remodelling of historic buildings – including listed properties – with the use of contemporary materials, or designing new buildings in a historic context.

Under Croft’s leadership, the firm has completed projects for Swedish art dealer Per Skarstedt, Sotheby’s and the Howard de Walden estate, among other clients.
