Spear’s Review

Formerly head of the ‘special casework department’ at Tuckers Solicitors, Richard Egan established his own firm, Egan Meyer, with fellow Spear's-ranked criminal lawyer Jim Meyer in 2023 with the aim of providing a highly personalised service.

When Egan was at Tuckers, he told Spear's that ‘our biggest successes you will never know about, which is why our clients know they can trust us’. His new firm will aim to maintain this reputation for discretion. 

Though a broad practitioner, Egan has a particular experience of cases relating to murder, conspiracy to murder, extortion and corruption as well as fraud, money laundering and defending those accused of international criminal conspiracies. He’s regularly instructed in cases requiring media management.
