Spear’s Review
Once dubbed the ‘crisis king’, Lawrence Dore is a founding partner at DRD Partnership, where he provides communications advisory services to leading players in the private client and wealth management industry, as well as their HNW and UHNW clientele.
Dore is regarded as a go-to adviser in the litigation communications, risk preparedness and ESG reporting space. Through DRD Private, the firm’s private client branch, his clients have access to a wealth of expertise and a tailored response – as well as tools from across DRD’s wide network.
Despite recognising that there is no substitute for hard work, he says he appreciates the importance of playing to your strengths when running an agency and ensuring positive client outcomes. ‘The first thing we do is really understand what it is that [clients] are going to need,’ Dore tells Spear’s. ‘Sometimes what they say they want and what they need are different.’
Adviser Profile
A formative period at M&S taught me that agencies need to bring expertise to clients outside their comfort zone when facing moments of challenge or change. DRD has been built to meet this goal.
Our focus is tight. We have one of the largest litigation and crisis teams in London. DRD recruited Alasdair Douglas, Senior Partner of Travers Smith, as our Chair; Kate Miller (Allen & Overy); and lawyers from Fieldfisher and Linklaters. Jon McLeod (Brunswick) has launched our competition practice.
Our private client practice brings a team of 10 under three partners to advise senior business figures. Partner-led counsel is why today we have clients across the globe who rely on us to protect their reputations.
