Katharine Arthur is a highly experienced chartered accountant and tax adviser who leads the tax team at London-based Haysmacintyre.

Having spent over 25 years in the tax industry, she is well placed to provide practical assistance on a wide range of issues. Her clients also benefit from her advice on Self Employment, Partnerships, Tax Planning as well as HMRC enquiries and International Information Exchange agreements. She also specialises in Inheritance Tax and estate planning as well as UK and offshore trusts.

Katharine has previously worked for Big 4 and Top 20 advisory firms, and was recognised by eprivateclient as one of the 50 Most Influential in 2022. 

Katharine’s approach is ‘practical, commercial, and understandable’ – essential skills when guiding clients through the tax system. She has often been quoted in the general and tax press, presents at seminars and is known to translate sometimes overly technical tax issues and opportunities into plain English. 

Away from the office, Katharine enjoys travel, wildlife and photography.
