Awarded silk in 2019, Rivett is frequently instructed by private practice solicitors (on behalf of UHNW and HNW clients) as well as by the revenue itself, typically in cases involving personal tax, corporate tax and indirect taxes such as VAT.

Highly invested in the development of tax and estate law, Rivett is an active member of the Chancery Bar Association, the Revenue Bar Association, the VAT Practitioners Group and the International Fiscal Association. He regularly writes articles for specialist tax journals and is a contributor to the leading textbook Potter & Monroe’s Tax Planning with Precedents and the 2007 issue of Atkin’s Court Forms.
