The venerable David Hodson KC founded the International Family Law Group in 2007, when ‘nobody in their right mind would set up a law firm’.

The move has certainly paid off. ‘We take pride in being ahead of the game,’ Hodson says. The family law firm’s foray into remote working proved to be ahead of its time, and it was among the first firms in the UK to deploy AI technology to enhance the way clients interact with lawyers.

As the name of his firm suggests, Hodson is in touch with a large network of lawyers across the globe. ‘We simply pick up the phone and say, “Look, here’s the circumstances – do we issue in England or Brazil?” And that’s the heart of what we do.’
