Former SAS soldier David Allison founded what is now Octaga Security Services in 2001 (incorporating Octaga Risk Management in 2010) after he was shocked by a ‘staggering lack of competency’ within the specialist security sector. Allison set out to create his own organisation that would redefine the ‘self-imposed boundaries’ within the industry to create ‘world-standard’ regulatory systems.

David Allison is the founder and CEO of Octaga, having served with Her Majesty’s Armed Forces, the Parachute Regiment and then UK Special Forces, 22 SAS. Adopting the core belief ‘in the relentless pursuit of excellence’, he landed on the security stage with the ambition to drive standards forward within the security industry.

In order to operate proficiently, he believed his business needed the highest standards in the areas he and his colleagues worked in, and today they retain the highest audited standards in the UK for physical and technical security services, placing Octaga in the top 3 per cent.
