Clare Anderson is a Schroders Family Office Service stalwart. After a long tenure heading the firm’s UK family office service for UHNWs, charities and family dynasties, she has recently been promoted to global head.

She once told Spear’s that her 27-year career at the firm began three days after graduation from St Andrews. She set out with the intention to merely ‘earn money and go travelling’. Yet she found private wealth management addictive, so much so that having decided to take a sabbatical after two decades at the firm, she returned after just three months.

She has noted that the changing nature of Schroders Family Office Service helps to keep things interesting. ‘Back in 1996 we were an old-style stockbroker; today we’re an independent trusted adviser with a fantastically integrated wealth planning operation.’

Anderson is a chartered fellow of the CISI and sits on the company’s UK management committee.
