A former member of the design team at Candy & Candy, Charu Gandhi established Elicyon in 2014. The architect and project manager aims to ‘combine the rigours of [her] architectural practice with her creative flair’. She takes pride in the fact that she leads clients through ‘a highly personalised journey’ throughout the design process.

Among an enviably long list of high-profile developments, in London the firm has completed seven apartments in One Hyde Park, the grand apartment block opposite Harvey Nichols, along with many other projects in Mayfair, Marylebone and Knightsbridge. International work includes six apartments in One Palm Jumeirah and a 29,000-square-foot penthouse in Dubai, a 40,000-square-foot beach house in Kuwait and large projects in India.

Gandhi has a particular specialism in capturing the nuances of art, history and culture in her projects, inspired by her travels. The aesthetics are pleasing, too; she says Elicyon boasts ‘a symbiotic relationship’ with ‘an exclusive community of like-minded craftspeople, artisans, manufacturers and artists’.
